Our house is situated in the lovely village of Arvieu just 25 miles from the major city of the Aveyron, Rodez. Arvieu, although small, has lots of amenieties and the property is located just off the village square. In the square is a hotel and a Boulangerie that sells hot chocolate croissants and fresh bread. You can wake each morning to the lovely smell of freshly baked bread. There is also a convience store (Proxi) within easy walking distance. The main points of the house are as follows:-

The hotel is run by Richard and Kathy White and you will find a very warm welcome there. They will be happy to supply you with any information you may need about the area and during your stay you just must sample the food in the restaurant, it is quite simply the best in the area. Golf
For the golfing enthusiasts there is a lovely golf course just outside Rodez which we are able to offer at a price of 18 euros per day (subject to availablity). Booking your holiday
On this site you can book everything you need for all your holiday so you can book and not have to worry about anything until the day you travel (always assuming your passport is up to date). See below for booking your flights, your car parking at the airport and for car hire at Marcilliac airport. Obviously prices will vary depending on the time of year but an approximate cost based on a week for two in June could cost as little as the following:

Renting the house
The house can be rented all year round dependant on availablity. Rent periods can be anything from a couple of days to 2 weeks dependant on the time of year. Longer period can be arranged dependant upon availability. Keys to the property can be collected from Auberge de Arcades, a hotel situated in Canet de Salars, a village which is enroute from the airport and only 12 kilometres from Arvieu.
Booking your Flights
Flights from the UK are daily to Rodez from Stansted in summer and 3 times a week in winter. Parking is available at Pink Elephant Parking from as little as £38 per week. Cheap flights are often available through Ryanair. Car hire is available from Rodez airport. I have enclosed some useful links below to help you plan your journey.
The site below is particularly useful. It will allow you to look at flight prices that are block graphed by day. This will enable you to pick the cheapest days for your travel. Just click on the graph for the day you want and and then it will transfer you straight to the Ryanair site to book your flights.

Car Hire
This is the best car hire company I have found. Obviously it may not suit everyone so don't be afraid to shop around. Just make sure that whoever you choose is based at Rodez airport and that they will be onsite with the flight times you choose.
